Our Mentoring Programmes

We provide bespoke services that are tailored to meet the objectives and values of schools, clubs, societies and other organisations with which we work.  In harnessing the power of sporting role models our programmes are based on the different stories, journeys and messages of our passionate professional athlete Ambassadors.  A member of The Mintridge Foundation team works closely with each programme host to ensure specific needs are tailored to.  These may include:

  • Player Development
    • Creating a support network for up and coming talent
    • Increasing a legacy within a school/college environment to maintain physical activity (student led)
    • Integration and participation (for both able-bodied and disabled participants)
  • Behaviour & Confidence
    • Increasing & maintaining participation (especially female)
    • Time management & prioritisation
    • Leadership
  • The Power of Inspiration
  • Coach Development

What can be included?

A

The Mintridge Ambassador will spend a full day with the students and staff of your school/college/club. The day can include coaching sessions, inspirational presentations, a Q&A session, classroom visits tailored to suit the school/college/club requirements and objectives. The Ambassador will be on hand to offer advice and pose for photographs throughout.

B

The Ambassador will be accompanied by a Mintridge representative. If coaching is chosen, discussions will be held leading up to the event regarding the personnel and staff requirements from the club. We strongly recommend small group learning to maximise what each student gets out of the session.

C

FaceTime/Skype conversations will be arranged by mutual consent. Programme objectives will be measured during this stage too.
